and I am pulling 40 with a trailer hitch! It started late last night. Dh kept saying we'd have to cancel church (he's the deacon in charge of making the calls after the preacher decides) and I kept saying yeah right. We were up at 6 this morning and wow! Snow! About 2-3 inches. Its almost lunch time and we're at 4-5 and its still falling. We usually don't get snow till the end of jan or Feb IF we get any.....most years we don't. So this is way early in my book. Here's a pic of ds looking out my bedroom window this morning. There is a HUGE butterfly bush that covers this window normally. I haven't cut it down this year cause we put bird feeders out in this little area and the birds were perching in the branches. It is well over 7ft tall. You can see it in the bottom of the pic now.

Our morning service was cancelled this morning but not due to the snow. We have a very small church and so many key people were travelling that there would only have been a handful of people there with no praise team or musicians. We are having church this evening though. We almost never cancel, in fact this is the first time in 5 years that I remember it being cancelled. 2-3"? That's a mere sprinkling for here in central Illinois. But, of course, we have the road equipment to deal with snow. I know some places in the South don't have the plows needed to clear the roads.
Just stay safe and warm and enjoy the quiet beauty of the snow. Gorgeous picture, btw, with the window, the snow covered bushes, and the wonderment on the face of the child.

lol! I bet in Illinois this is not a big deal! Down here though....there is not a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread to be found in any store! Everyone and their brother was out last night buying them up! Except me. They also tend to roll up the streets and shut everything down. I'm sure the plows are going now we just don't have as many as some places. Oldest dd left a while ago to go over to her boyfriends house. She has front wheel drive.
