Default Projects I Did in January 2015

Hi,

Back at the beginning of January I said I had a goal to complete UFO's in 2015. In order to keep myself on target I started a journal of everything I do each month. Here is my accounting for January:

UFO completed-small quilt top from estate sale quilted and bound. It will go into my newly started stockpile for "when I need a quilt quick".

New-In December I started a quilt top for my DB's DGD. It is a Braid in a Day done in scrappy pinks and purples. It is completed and ready to mail.

New-Crocheted 2 headbands with flowers for 2 granddaughters.

UFO-finished up headband w/flower to go with bootcuffs and fingerless gloves given to niece in Dec.

New-created 2 Christmas ornaments. I plan to make at least 1 new ornament a month for my sewing room Christmas tree I plan to put up this coming December.

New-crocheted pink hat for cancer patient.

UFO-Quilted and bound cowboy quilt for grandson's birthday in January.

New-knitted 12 dishcloths

UFO-Scooby Doo children's quilt top quilted and bound. Ready for gifting.

UFO-40 little banners completed and mailed to quilting friends.

New-started Civil War quilt.

Time to start a new month and new page in my journal!

Wow, you have been busy. This sounds like a great way to tackle those UFOs and feel like you are making progress.

I like your system. Since my UFOs require more than a month worth of work, how do you document that you have worked on a UFO but didn't finish it this month?

Humm I haven't run across that yet. Great question! I will probably label it as ongoing and document the month it was started. That would give me UFO's, New, and Ongoing.

I join everyone else with my first thought Wow you've been busy. Did you take time to sleep? lol. How great is the month of January for you. Would love to see some pictures. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments. I can't wait to find out what you do for the next 11 months.

I started out January with a bang, too. Still going fairly strong. I want to get some things made up for gifts for when I need them and in the process, use up some of my scraps.....have 12 placemats almost finished. Have finished up a couple UFO's and have some other things in the works. Hope both of us can keep up the momentum....!

Thanks everyone. Here are a few pics. Remember some of these were tops that were already to quilt and small at that...also the crochet projects were fast and easy. I was off work until 1/5 and again on the 19th so was able to spend that full day quilting since the hubs had to work...

For Feb I hope to have the following done:

1. Finish Civil War quilt top
2. Put borders on Christmas quilt top (I decided it's too narrow) quilt and bind
3. Quilt and bind car quilt for friend from church (it's huge!)
4. Quilt and bind brother-in-laws quilt top (semi UFO...I finished the top in Dec but didn't like my backing so waited for my order from Joanns to get in
5. Continue knitting dish cloths
6. Prepare tax paper work for Accountant...double yuck!
