Billi...woodhandled seam rippers, clay covered boxes and crochet hooks and things like that. a wooden iron(for paper piecing) and things like that. I figured this was going to be the year of the "good tools".

Not now, I do need to learn Paper Piecing, (Not epp, i know that one) I'm still old school on that frontier.

The person below me is having chicken for dinner tonight.(I need a NEW recipe for dh, who is very picky)

Maybe leftover chicken from Tuesday night I tried a new recipe I found on pintrest I made a couple of changes but we both really liked it.

    The Chew’s Baked Artichoke Chicken

4 lbs. chicken legs and thighs, w/ skin ( I used 6 large chicken legs You could use a chicken cut up, including breasts)
1 cup artichoke hearts, halved (canned is fine I used frozen ones I defrosted)
1 medium onion, cut into pieces same size as the artichokes
1 pound white button mushrooms (halved or quartered)
    2 tablespoons brown mustard
    2-3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup red or white wine (you could also sub in chicken stock)
    1/4 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 bay leaf
    kosher salt and pepper
    Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F-375F, depending if you like crispy skin or not.
Place artichokes, onions and mushrooms on the bottom of a big pan.
Place chicken pieces on top of the vegetables.
Mix the mustard with the rest of the ingredients and pour over chicken.
Season w/ kosher salt & pepper.
Bake about 1 hour, basting the pieces once or twice.

*******to make it a complete meal I added quartered red potatoes with all the other veggies
it was a hot day so I cooked it out on my grill using it like an oven.

The person below me has made brownies using coconut oil in place of vegetable oil...

.I did last night gives a slight hint of coconut yummmmmmmy

Eh so so not as much by volume as I had been doing but I joined a couple of block swaps and have made several differnt blocks for others...if I were to put them all together (and that would be bad hahahaha) they would not equal the number of quilts I made in the same amount of time over the winter/spring but I do get in some sewing 4 out of 7 days a week. And I had fun doing it too..

The person below me is going to a flea market and antique fair this weekend (I am today)
