This is one I remember from my "youth" (hehe). Take a regular quart mason jar (not wide mouth), plus x number of clothespins (I think it was 5 but you can decide depending on how many want to play) and see who can, from standing height, drop the most clothespins in the jar. The winner gets a prize. This is harder to do than it sounds!

Maybe use a wide mouth jar (!) - have people put cotton balls, tennis balls. clothespins - one at a time (I really don't remember what exactly) between their knees and carry them three or four feet between their knees - and then (try to) drop them in the jar. I think people were given about five tries. The person that got the most in the jar won a prize.

I remember this game too. You'd hold the clothespin at your nose level, and try to drop it in the jar.

Another game my mother loved to play at showers was for each lady to take a regular spring clothespin, reach between her legs, and try to clip the clothespin as high up on her backside as she could. This worked better back when ladies wore dresses or skirts more often, but it could still be fun. It was hilarious to watch adult women, sometimes OLD women, twisting and contorting to try and get that clothespin higher than anyone else's. Of course, the winner got a nice prize.

pick out 4 or 5 candy bars. then put 1 only in a diaper and slightly melt it in microwave. then pass it around and see if the guest can name what kind of candy has melted in the diaper.

a cute game that was at my nieces, was they first interview the groom and asked about 15 questions, just silly things, like his favorite foods, then they had a small white board at the shower with his answers, and asked the bride the same questions, just to see how well they knew each other. You might get some of the other shower planners tho brainstorm some of the questions, it was a really fun game and we had lots of laughs, I am sorry but I cannot remember any of the other questions,

At my daughter's hen party (bridal shower) we played a game called pass the parcel. It takes a bit of pre organizing but is very good fun. You need to buy about 20 - 30 gifts (from dollar store can be useful or silly) and wrap them all up. Place on the floor in the middle of the room. you then share out a pack of playing cards between your guests every one should get 2 or 3. Using a fresh pack of cards you call out the numbers and the holder of the cards can choose a gift. They are not allowed to open them and must keep them in view. When the presents have all gone you carry on calling out the pack of cards but this time the holder can take a gift from someone else. It is especially fun if some of the presents look interesting and a bit of competition is set up to get those packages. The game ends when the deck of cards has been called out twice (shuffle after the first time) everyone usually ends up with a least one present.

Using mens dark socks put individual items in each and tie up. pen, credit card, tooth brush, items the couple may use on thier honeymoon. Then only using your bare foot can you feel the d=sock to figure out what is in them. This was done at a co-ed shower and the men loved doing it.

I'm not a fan of shower games but this one I went to in the late 70's literally took the cake. Each person was given a toothpick, a small piece of cardboard and a stick of gum. You had to chew the gum, spit and/or place it on the cardboard and with the toothpick, try to sculpt something of it. Everyone's "sculpture" was then placed on a table and judged. Whoever won got a prize. No I can't remember just what the prize was but it was probably in keeping with the game itself. No one I've ever described this to has ever heard of such a thing and I swear, I couldn't make this up even if I wanted to. Maybe it was some sort of bizarre, central New York kind of thing.
