Hi illinois! I use a mixture of Elmer's School Glue and water. About half and half. If you google How to Stiffen Snowflakes, you will find other methods to stiffen crochet items. Good luck with redoing the angel.

Your work is stunning! My gma used to use sugar water. Another stiffener is Epsom salt. Just dissolve the salt into boiling water then let it cool completely. Never had to worry about little critters with cornstarch or sugar.

Thank you! Will give it a try. The sleigh you did is esp gorgeous. I don't crochet--just knit--but the pineapple design is my favorite and I look for those in resale shops, etc. Thank you for sharing.

All beautiful, but fell in love with the little "buggy"(carriage).

do you have links to the baby buggy and sleigh patterns? I would really love to try my hand at both. I haven't done much 3D crochet but would love to try these. Thank you for posting they are terrific.
