A few weeks ago I posted asking for suggestions for fabric for a tuxedo for my grandson. I bought polyester suit fabric - wasn't expensive.

Well, the tux is almost done, so today I'm searching through my fabric stash to find fabric for a dress for granddaughter. And I found not one, not two, but THREE pieces of black suit fabric. Any of them could have been used for the tux!

My only defense - I didn't buy the fabric. I inherited several bags of fabric, and this was part of it. I guess if I don't pay for it I don't remember that I have it.

Lesson learned - shop at home first.

Oh, yes. With the price of fabric going up, "Shop the Stash." will become our motto!

Funny- So how do you display your fabric so that you know what you have?

LOL I have bought the very same fabric 3 times, because I loved it so much but forgot I had already purchased it. I think these things will and have happened to a lot of us :D:D:D

I just chock it up to "Senior moments". When my hair turned gray, I decided that I was a Senior, even if I was in my 40's then ;) Now I really do qualify as a Senior and am loving it.

I've done that with 2 or 3 different fabrics! Also do it with books...there's one novel i've bought at Half Price Books at least 4 times since I first read it in about 1999.
