I can only think that the person who wrote the song "In the Good Old Summertime" did NOT live in Texas.

The triple digit temps. continue, forecast on through the next two weeks.

The AC in our sewing cottage can barely keep up, and in the afternoon, just can't be kept cool enough to really be comfortable.

I, for one, am looking forward to fall.

The heat index adds a whole dimension to the overall temperature. Our humidity is awful today.

Pretty toasty here in indiana also. Heat index is 110. We've only ac in one room thats the bedroom. We try really hard not to use it because when you live in the sticks it really runs up the electric bill. So a fan it is till I cant stand it anymore. Just checked the thermostat and its 83 in the house. Not bad!

It has been in the upper 90's and my neighbor desided she could mow our yards but she finaly conceded that she can't do that any more finaly she agrees with me we are going to have the man mow it at least once a week and we are getting by cheep $25 a mow, and $30 when the leaves fall in the spring

In Lewisville, TX it is currently 87 but the high is supposed to be 101 with the low only going down to 81. I hate to see my electric bill for this month. We're getting close to breaking some records for # of days of 100 or above.

It was getting quite hot here in Columbus, but now there is a BIG downpour. If it rains enough it should be somewhat cooler, but if it doesn't clear out the humidity it will just be muggier. No AC at home so I had come to the library, also for better connection (dial up at home).
I think the person who wrote the song was walking in some shade on a day about 79 degrees. ;-)
