Default New purpose for metal bobbins

Note to those with campers and RVers: Have you ever had to restring the blinds after the plastic thread guide breaks?

My DH found success in using a metal sewing machine bobbin which is, of course, much stronger than the little plastic thread guide (it looks like a plastic bobbin).

My husband has to do this rather then buy new. What a great idea...gotta go tell him! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks - I use them for a lot of things but hadn't thought of that. Sometimes if I need just a little of definite color thread top-stitch - I will wind a single strand of embroidery floss on one and them put it on the top spindle of the sewing machine and sew! :-) Use them for weights - - - but hadn't thought of this one. Thank you.
