I have never had one of those natural hot flashes you talk about, so I guess I wasn't built right. But, this diabetes really kicks my butt. Change sheets every morning and nighty and shower a couple times a day. Think it is under control and it bottoms out....get it back up and there it goes, sweat sweat sweat..... Dr says it will work out. hmmmmm Dr of what, I wonder? Changing Dr next month. Still, that kind of sweating leaves you sick. Does the "mennnie paws" make you sick, too?
Blessings,
Ruth

My dog Bella and I are going through menopause together.....LOL

My body was forced into it after an auto accident and major surgery that followed. It's been 7 years and if I can make it another month, it will be done.....LOL

I called them power surges. Thanks to my pills I don't have them anymore. And a bonus...my family can stand to be around me most times! :-D :-D

Yes, but so much has come out about the side effects of HRT. I am scared to go that route.

I burn up this summer, it has been very hot.
One Son-in-Law's Sister calls hot flashes -"Personal Summers". Very cute. Don't get many in the winter when its cold.

Hot flashes and quilting just isn't a very good combination. It's a real killer when you have a large quilt in your lap and a flash hits you.

I call them "POWER SURGES" too but I like the 'Personal Summer". I'll use it the next time I have one in public. I've also been known to carry an oriental folding fan with me when I don't have access to an electric one. BUT please please don't tell me they last TEN years! They have been slacking off now and it's only been about 4 years.
