My Mom always used an electric on her chin and lip but I like to use lotion and a regular razor. Glad you brought up this "hairy" subject [pun intended].

I can highly recommend electrolysis: no razor, plucking, etc. If you have plucked, it may take 2-4 treatments (something about the hair follicle??). It took a few sessions for the mustache and the chin hairs, but now I only go for an occasional chin hair; maybe once a year if that.

Look into Electrolysis. Electrolysis is permanent hair removal. I'm a Electrologist,I have been doing this work for over 25 years. I tell my client 's do not tweezer or wax. It better to shave the hair.

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies. I am surprised at the responses to this delicate subject. I was a little hesitant to brooch this embarrising subject, but it is easier knowing no one can see you on line.

As for the ladies who appear to have smooth flawless faces guess what? The majority of them have help of some sort. Few of us live without facial hair. I know some very beautiful women (ex-models) who shave their faces regularly.

Yes it gets worse as we age. About every 2 months I get mine waxed my mustache that is and my eyebrows touched up. Not that costly compared to other things.

Since we're on the subject, would you tell your girlfriend ( who doesn't have the best vision), her mustache needs looking after? My friends looked so bad it was distracting. But I couldn't tell her, could you?

I have tried waxing but I seem to be allergic to something in the wax and so is my grand daughter so if you decided to use the wax method try it on your arm first to see if you have any reaction to it.

Isn't that a bit like telling a friend she needs to shave her legs or armpits. . . or that she needs to pluck her eyebrows?

Years ago, my best friend gently told me I was overplucking my eyebrows and it didn't look good. I appreciated the feedback and was more than happy to stop plucking so much.

I think you'd have to determine for yourself if you should tell your friend something like this, there are so many variables. Would she be able to take the comment in the spirit it's intended.... would you be able to put it in a way that won't hurt her feelings.... can you pick a day/time when she's in the right mood... etc.

Our poor husbands, lol. They have to walk this tightrope every day.
