Fitting a bra is so personal...I have gone to the shops that specialize in fitting you and yes, they can be "embarrassing" but honestly, I don't care! I come out with a bra that fits great! So, get over the shyness and get some decent fitting bras! really..it is worth it.

My guild here in Gainesville had a class or workshop on bra-making. The teacher was a real pro. It was expensive though. Later, at our next meeting, the ladies who had taken the class all modeled their bras. It was a riot! A couple of the members had put the bra on over their t-shirts, several others just lifted up their shirts, etc. Our meetings are held in a Presbyterian church, so some decorum is required. We all got a kick out of it.

there is a teacher in ontario that gives 2-day classes and charges $225.00. if you pay $30.00+ for a bra (which i do every time, and they still don't fit), then that's the price of 8 bras.

imo, that's a real bargain.

Nana that's what used to happen to me too and I got so frustrated that I unpicked one of the old favourites and made a new one using it as a pattern.

Too easy!! You really should try it!!

I quit wearing bras early in the pandemic. I bought from Amazon some camisoles with shelf bras and I love them. I do wear a shirt over the camisole. I’m not small breasted and they work just fine.

I like the Hanes brand 'T-shirt" bra. Underwire; front clasp. It is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. I buy them from herroom.com. $26.60 each which I think is quite reasonable given that market. I wear a 38C and the back stays put as do the straps. Does pay to go to a local store (Penney; Kohls) to be measured but then you know proper size to order.

I am still wearing underwire bras (ugh) but my sister, who is older and more "endowed" swears by a Glamorise Magic Lift posture back support bra. I may try that next. She gave me all her UW bras, doesn't wear them anymore.
