I was thinking about this the other day, lol! I have become way more "hermit like" now. I never just "go" anywhere....all trips must have several destinations, like work, bank, grocery store. Or several stores.
My Mom complians I never come and just visit, (I need to), but its SO expensive in my truck!
Also I try to buy in bulk, I live WAY too far out to have to make a trip to town for one item!

Gas prices are creeping up already & I do what you do. I saw all my running until I have a ton of things to get done. It usually wears me out & I sometimes forget an errand or two but that is what I've learned to do living out in the country. GO BY & SEE YOUR MOM! They are gone before you know it & you will wish you had spent more time with her. ;o}

I know, I know, I have to! Right now I work retail, and I always work on weekends, and thats when they are home, as my Dad still works.
Just need to get off my rear and go one evening!

Yes, my shopping trips are much more limited & planned around the weather & what else can I do when going in that direction. Whichever (1) grocery store has the best sales for things I use wins each week. Limiting the shopping trips also saves me from purchasing items I really don't need & probably would not have purchased if I did not see.

Kinda, but not really. I already take public transportation almost every day. I try to plan my outings so that several things are done & to the maximum effect (least gas wastage due to "oh, yeah; I forgot to go here"). I don't use lights if I'm not in the room. \

Because the prices seem to be shooting up, I am planning to use the train to travel. (it's unusual to do that here because I'm in Texas).

I still do whatever I need to here in town. It's a very small town -- only 1 mile from end to end so errands in town are no big deal. Fabric and clothes have to be bought about 45 miles away and I've cut down on that over the last year. I order much more stuff on the internet.

Doing the same thing driving in a circle close to home...dump,market, walmart. and only take the 45 min drive to the closest city when we have more to do.
