Not original, but as soon as I saw his picture, I thought, "Buster!"

He is certainly a cutie! Hope you find lots of info on training a deaf dog.

He will never hear you say his name so how about a hand-sign?
VICTORY..... with the 'v for victory' sign......VIC for short.

Explanation please. I guess we need to consider the source -- Angus does live in "hell" alabama according to the profile.
ANGUS~~~what an absolutely horrible thing to say !!

Love the name Browser...someone suggested.
Please, don't flame this poster.....Just a few weeks ago the baby of a woman raised in our town was killed by the family dog of a relative they were visiting, a rescue that got along well with his own children. The dog and baby were on the floor in another room, the family heard a sound from the dog and found the baby bitten . How could this happen? Well, the dog was deaf, the baby was a stranger and speculation is that the baby startled the dog in some way and was bitten.

I would like to have you help me name him. He will be a husky fellow when grown and don't want a sissy name. Any suggestions???? If anyone has ever worked with a deaf dog I could use some advice. I ordered a book called "living with a deaf dog" so I hope it will help. ( I lost by browser while typing so I hope this doesn't post twice)
"Muggsy"....he just looks like one...good luck with you new pup!!!

He's adorable. Someone mentioned that since he can't hear you it should be a name you can sign. I go with that.

I'm sure he'll give you much happiness.

HE is so cute. I have a grown Bassett that went blind in both eyes. She had been an inside dog, so it made it easier for her to learn to get around. She already knew the area. We just learnt to call her and hit the floor for her to follow us. He will learn to use his scense of smell and watch you and will follow you.

that was horrible, BUT it is wrong to "get rid of" a deaf dog because of one most unfortunate happening. When I have visitors I place the dog in his cage. mostly for his protection since he does not know them. thank you for your concerned warning.

I don't know if anyone else chose this name, but while reading your post you said you lost your browser. I thought that was a good name for your cute little pup.
I go with "BROWSER" Good luck in whatever you choose.
