I used to have one of those, named PJ.. he would "help" me sew.. heard him muttering away one day when I was pinning down a pattern and looked back to find him very carefully pulling out each pin I had carefully put in. And he too was an "amorous" fella.. but he was in love with my brass french phone.. boy did he get ticked off when it would ring and I'd pick it up and talk..

Your bird was so cute, I had to send the link to this thread to my hubby, who has an African Grey Parrot, named Howard. My hubby's response? "You would have a cow if Howard starting walking around on one of your quilts ;-) Birds do leave little gifts behind." LOL - he is right! Howard's cage sits rights next to my cutting/pressing table, so he watches me pretty closely. So, far, everything has been out of his reach, and he really doesn't like to get off his cage too often (keeping my fingers crossed).

OMG, ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! That's too cute. I know people who have had birds and they can be extremely personable sweet loving pets!! I guess you don't realize it when you don't have one. What a doll that one is! Post more photos down the road - this one made me smile big time!!

I love it and it does look like he's telling you no this block belongs here. How cool. My Buddy decided my applique project (not all the way bound) wasn't soft enough that he tried to knead it soft.

I knew youd like him..it was very funny watching him and he did move the blue square around, it was too funny. A few months ago he kept getting down and we couldnt figure out how..he wouldnt do it when we were watching, (his cage is on a base about 3 ft tall) and then one day he knocked his towel off and shimmied right down the leg to get to the floor. I sleep on the couch alot, because of my back, for some reason it feels better than the bed, anyway, many mornings I will wake up and he will be right in front of my face saying "What are you doing?". First time freaked me out! He says pretty bird, what are you doing, he will bang his beak on his cage like hes knocking and say come in! He wolf whistles, shave and a haircut and something we havent figured out. He very curious and always wants to be right there with you. And yes, he leaves "gifts" and when I saw him on the quilt the first thing I did, well, after taking some pics, was check to make sure he didnt leave me anything! Luckily not. I got him a few years ago from a friend and hope to have many more.
