Are you a CW reenactor????????????
Yes, but only in my spare time. :P The rest is spent trying to get ready for the next one.

I remember an older lady telling me about doing this when I was in my teens. Back then, probably the early 70's, I remember you had belts not self sticking pads like now. I dont know why she decided to share this bit of history with me but she did. I was young and all I remember thinking was YUCK. But now as I think about it as a grown woman, if I was sensitive to paper products, cloth would be alot more comfortable. Alot more work but more comfortable.

I make them, but I have since started using a menstrual cup. I love it! It's just a small silicone cup that you insert and empty out. It's so convenient and easy. It will last forever too. You just keep using it. No trash, no repeat buying. That's pretty green and pocketbook friendly.

OMG! I am at work on my lunch laughing myself silly. Trupeach that is so true. I don't think it is the wiping that is the problem , but things that happen in between times. Oh my goodness. :-D

As to putting the water on the garden? My daughter thought about that, but then remembered...the bin that the diapers go in has a bit of bleach in it, so that's not good for her garden. She won't NOT put the little bleach in only because of bugs and she doesn't need those in her house.
she could use Borax

I can remember my grandmother made her own. When I went through all that I never gave a thought to making my own so am glad that I have passed that age.
