I have a Jo-Anns about a mile away from my house. VERY handy to just zip over whenever the mood hits me. Hancocks is about 7 miles away. There's a "sew and vac" store that has quality fabric that's about 1.5 miles away.

there's on nasty LQS that's about 2 miles from me. Another much friendlier LQS about an hour or so drive away, and a JoAnns about 20-25 minutes from me. The LQS that I really like to go to though is about 2 hours away

Jo-Ann, 5 minutes, Hancock's, 5 minutes, Hobby Lobby, 10 minutes, LQS, 10 minutes, BUT LQS is moving to a new location, (which actually should be better, and, hopefully, BIGGER WITH MORE FABRIC!!Then LQS will be about 15 minutes.

My SIL lives in Iowa, and travels for her job all over the midwest, and she is always calling, emailing, or texting me about the great quilt shops she visits! *jealous*
