How I make my stash dolls
Thought I would take some pictures as I made one of the stash dolls
I hope I can describe how I went about making a doll using two 7 1/2" blocks for the body.
The pattern is on photo #1. Instead of pinning the pattern onto the material I traaced the patterns onto the wrong side of one of the blocks of material and used the drawn lines as my stitching line when I put the second block under the drawn block

An easy way to stuff legs and arms. You will need a plastic drinking straw that is about 3 or 4 inches, a knitting needle or narrow stick that will fit inside the straw with material.
put straw inside leg

Carefully push foot into straw with knitting needle, When you can get a hold of the foot from the end of straw pull the leg the rest of the way out.
Gently push on seams to straighten it out, ready to be stuffed.

Turn all the legs and arms. Now is the time to stuff them. I used polyester and Q-tips (they seems to work best to get the polyester started into the straws. I twirl the Q-tiip inside the straw to release the polysester when it gets pushed out the end. Always push the straw clear to the bottom of the piece you are stuffing before you push the polyester through it. Use small bunches of polyester so it doesn't get clogged up inside of straw. This does take time and patience.

After stuffing the arms and legs, attach them to the body. Insert the arms into the open areas on side seam of body. Stitch in place. I usually stitch these in place by hand. When placing the arms into the holes make sure the thumbs are point toward the head. When arems are sewn in place turn body right side out.
