We had, as usual, zero. There aren't any kids in our subdivision and the neighboring ones went to fall festivals. ALmost all churches in town had trunk or treat. You decorate your car and then line up in the church parking lot giving out treats from your trunk. The kids love it and it's a lot safer than going out on their own.

This year I got to go out with my 3 GDs and we did a lot of walking between porch lights.I did notice there were not a lot of kids out tricker treating either. GDs were carrying pumpkin buckets and they were almost full after 2 hrs. My son and DIL were saying how much more they got as kids -almost a pillow case- when my brothers an me were kids we'd go home 3 times for fresh pillow cases.

We had exactly 13. Up from last year's 12. I'm just so tickled -- we now live in a small development in SC after moving from Southern Maryland on a major highway. I would turn all the lights on to make the house look welcoming and sit by the front door, watch TV, and wait. No one came. I don't know how many years I did this. It was so sad. Like throwing a party and no one comes. But now I'm happy to have the trick or treaters!

Although trick and treat isn't known in the netherlands we've had one group of three female students dressed up at our door.
Sorry to say we didn't have any candy in the house.
Some villages do have : "sint Maarten" on 11-11 where children come and sing a little song to collect candy

We had a big fat 0! I used to love Halloween in the city where there were lots of kids trick or treating. I miss the fun of seeing all the little ones dressed up. Our dd lives just a few miles from us in a neighborhood with tons of kids and she didn't have any trick or treaters either. Guess everyone was going to the malls, churches, etc. I hope all the kids had a great evening even if they didn't knock on my door.

Due to hurricane Sandy our Halloween will be celebrated Monday, November 5.
We normally get around 45 children.
