Started sewing about age 10 I think. Made my first "crimpaline" quilt at 18? That is what they called the knit polyester fabric here at that time. Yes, it is still going strong approx. 35 years later!

I made my first quilt in a class at a LQS in October 2008. I was 69.

Years ago, I used to make some clothing but I was never an enthusiast. I had to purchase a new machine to take the class as my old Singer was pretty much defunct. Probably someone on the QB purchased it for a song at the Salvation Army. :)

I was 48 when I started quilting. I had sewn garments/crafts for many years before I started. I watched Eleanor Burns, Kaye Wood, and Georgia Bonesteel for years before I started.

I will be 62 tomorrow - can't believe it! I started about 10 years or so ago on my own. I did take one workshop and attended many quilt shows. I have learned many other types of needlework: embroidery, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, cross stitch. Quilting has been quite a challenge to me. My favorite is hand quilting my Grandmother's flower garden. Piecing for machine quilting has been harder but fun.

I am a PRC quilter. ( PRC=pre-rotary-cutter). I can still remember when the rotary cutter was first introduced .... WOW did it ever change things in a hurry.

I started in 1995. I was 43 and I took a hand quilting evening class at my local high school. It was so much fun and I never stopped quilting. Learned a lot along the way.
