Tell your son THANK YOU for serving his country. My heart goes out to you...only a mother knows!! :XD:

My son will be 33 in June. My sister is 13 years older than I, so I had a lot of time to hear my mother tell my sister how she should write down all the cute stuff my niece did or she would forget those things. My sister never took my mother's advice, but I did, at least to some extent. It's so neat to look over what I wrote and remember those wonderful times. And I can't believe that I am a grandmother already!

I raised 3 children the oldest will be 41 this year. I like you remember the first time I held them, when they went to school, but I have stretches of time that only pictures tell of their life. We were all so busy surviving, that some of their childhood slipped away. We all need to slow down and make sure that our memories are more than just pictures in an album.

My oldest son would have been 39 in Feb. (died in 1990). My oldest living is 37 and my youngest will be 29 in June, we share the same birthday. My grandson that I am raising just turned 6. He gives me a chance to enjoy the things I was too busy and missed with the others.
