Hi all,
Well dh had hernia repair surgery yesterday, and it was more involved than the surgeon thought...so, just asking for some prayers for fast healing...he is feeling pretty good today; but he also never complains about anything! The only thing he really has complained about is having to be off of work for 2 weeks instead of the 3 or 4 days her originally planned..He even took vacation, to have the surgery! ARGH!!... And, no, he did not have to use vacation, he has a lot of PTO time, as he never takes off...gosh, I sound like I am complaining...about a great guy!! I just want him to get well fast...I hope to keep him around for at least another 28+ years of marriage, and hopefully more!!
Thanks for listening!

My husband had double hernia repair just over a year ago. He was 68 at that time. Did well, no real pain, but was quite limited by the doctor as to what he could do. All is well now.

Best wishes to your hubby, but tell him that in addition to the more "involved" surgery, that as we age, the healing process takes longer, so to take it easy and do as the doctor says.

Thank you all for your kind words, and prayers...so far dh is doing well, all things considered...I do know that as we age it can take longer to heal, and as he has to take daily doses of steroid for the Addison's disease, we know that can delay the healing process even more...and make him more prone to infection...so, thanks again for all of your prayers....please keep them coming!!
