Thanks for the picture! I loved last year's picture of the birdfeeder with so many hummers feeding without fighting.

Great pictures! We have a lot of hummers, but I have only seen a hummer's nest one year. And it was empty when I found it.

I've seen a lot of their nests but never a baby before. Thank you so much for making it possible to see one.

Love watching the hummingbirds while I have my breakfast and the grandkids enjoy it too. Besides all the other birds we see.

Years ago, we went to Callaway Gardens in Georgia. They have the most outstanding butterfly garden you can imagine. They also had a multitude of hummingbirds that would come so close to you that it was astounding. As you left the garden, you had to be "brushed off" so you didn't help any of the butterflies or hummers hitch a ride out through the "airlock" type of exit. You could peek into hummer nests there, also. It was the highlight of our trip. Don't miss it if you are in that area.

I don't know that I have ever seen a hummingbird nest!! Reminds me of the story my dad told me when I was little. I asked him where did the hummingbirds go in the winter and he told me that they rode down south on the Canadian geese's backs!!!! I'm pretty sure that was a lie...

You know not a lot of people ever see a hummers nest. They are so tiny. You are lucky to find this. They grow real fast after they hatch.
