I have a feeder in my backyard and we have hummingbirds. I don't think we get as many as my relatives in Tennessee get, but each year there are a few. They actually fight over the feeder. This one little male sits in the tree and dive bombs any hummingbird that comes to the feeder. I guess he has staked his claim on it.

I'm in Virginia and usually we fill 6 feeders at least once a day. This year I have only seen 4 hummers and not all at once. I was wondering what was going on too !!?????

I have 3 feeders and have had only 2 birds. Haven't seen them in a few days either. I'll keep some food out for the few that we do get.

We are just outside Austin, TX. Last year I had several hummers. This year one visited in the middle of May and haven't had another since that I know about. My feeders are directly in view of the windows with plenty of cover. I couldn't decide if it was because we are out of a severe draught and they have found other sources or what is going on.

When I was at my daughter's today I went to look out the window where her honeysuckle vine was and within 2 minutes I saw a hummingbird. I have a vine too but mine is small and has no blooms yet.

They're humming in my corner of the state--grands love to watch them! Need to make bird juice tonight and refill. Dorothy I can't beleive it 25# of sugar! I don't use that much in a season. Amazing

I have hummingbirds not as many as I usually have, I think they may be nesting, Usually in July or so they play at the feeders. I buy pre-mixed nectar and it has Vitamins and such in it already. I know they can't live on sugar water a lone, only keeps their energy up, they would die without healthy food.

Has anyone ever seen their nest at your house? Do you have a picture we could see.
Does anyone one know when they nest so we can get our binoculars out and start looking for the nest? Where should we look? Bushes, trees, ????????
I think it is neat for those of you who have them all year round.
