We have fox squirrels here - they are red and buff in color and bigger than the greys. I enjoy watching them at the feeder - they'll do anything for food!

VERY good point!!!!! I wish I'd had the movie camera going the day DH moved that feeder to the back of the yard and cut down a small tree to prevent (?) them from getting in it. A squirrel came up to the deck after trying his heart out to reach it. He came up on the deck and chattered at my DH, slapping his paw (hand?) on the deck. He was sooooo mad, it was hilarious!!!!

I started feeding a squirrel and then put up a squirrel house. In the past 2 years "Scrappy" has raised 3 litters of babies. It is so much fun to watch the babies venture out of their house the first few days.
