Default Fox in my backyard this morning!

Look what was on my porch this morning while I was doing dishes. A Red Tail fox. He did not even budge when I knocked on the door.

Is rabies in your area? Beautiful animal, but they are typically skittish.

We called animal control but they say they are very prevalent here and unless they are foaming at the mouth they are ok!

He is so pretty. Looks like he wants to take a swim.

I have a friend that lives near Atlanta who has foxes in her neighborhood. The animal control told her that it was their habitat also. Okay by me. I love to watch wild animals.

Very pretty! I volunteer at a wildlife rehab center and we have a resident fox named Shianne. She's just like a dog. Loves her belly rubbed, ears scratched and fur brushed! And her favorite treat is a hard boiled egg!

What a cute little guy, we see them often in our neighbourhood. We have lake Ontario within a short walk, the huge Rouge Valley very close and a large park across the street, guess there is lots to eat.

Lots of them here in central NJ and PA as well. As you say, as long as they are not foaming...not to worry. By the same token, not sure I'd let my own furbabies out while the fox was in the yard. I was very nervous last year with turkey buzzards and the puppy!
