Have any of you had similar conversations? Hubby is avid hunter/fisherman. Sound familiar? Anyhow, deer season is coming up and I just hate it. Me: "Why would anyone in their right mind want to hunt?" Him: "Why would anyone in their right mind take perfectly good fabric, slice it up in a hundred pieces and sew it back together".....not sure I won that argument  Opposites attract?

If DH wants to have fun hunting or fishing he leaves me at home. If I want to have fun shopping at the fabric store I leave him at the house. We get along well with this arrangement:)

And consider it win-win .... he goes hunting and you get to stay home alone with quality time with your sewing machine.

I used to love when my husband went hunting .... a week away, and I had a week of do what I wanted, when I wanteded, and where! And believe me, a lot got accomplished. It was not all play. And it was before I was bitten by the quilting bug!

does he clean the stuff and let you cook it? i figure all that venison saves us grocery money. and then i always share with the kids. so it helps them out also. and usually i get extra quilting time in. that is if i don't have my 410 loaded. i usually get a deer a yr with that.

Heck yeah! I would enjoy if mine did! That would mean he would be out of the house and not giving ME a list of things that I need to be doing. With 5 kids I have enough to do without him adding things that IIIIII need to do. :) So, hunting I would welcome. lol

Less money needed to buy meat at the store, more money leftover to buy fabric!

Its not that I mind his absence, just that life as we know it comes to a screeching halt when Buck Fever starts. Yes, I cook vennison for him but I can't gag down more than just a little piece personally no matter how I fix it.
