And its my own fault. This morning I broke a window while moving a chair. Now while all of you are smirking or laughing, I have to tell you that I bearly touched the window with the chair and you should see the abuse it has taken from my kids banging toys and sippies on it. And it isn't just any normal window it is a floor to ceiling window that is going to have to be compleTly replaced. At around $500. Now we don't have the money to replace it really. So trying to find the money I though why not sell a couple of quilts that I have just finished that don't have a home yet. Well my question to you guys is where is the best place to sell them and how do you price them? And I need to get the most I can out of them to pay for this bloody window that I broke. I looked on ebay and they are going for 5- 130 starting bids. And they are all baby size of around 40ish". Which is about the size of all three baby quilts.

I would try etsy.com or artfire.com However there are fees associated with both. ecrater.com is another site. Good luck selling them. I hope you make enough to pay for the window.

nyc is right, the kids prepped it for you - kind of like when you struggle to open a jar, you hand it to your spouse (or worse, a kid) and he opens it immediately. Do check your homeowner's; otherwise it will be time to come up with very creative window covering solutions until you can egt the cash to replace it! I've never sold a quilt but you could start here or on Etsy or Artfire.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Thank goodness noone was hurt. I don't know about where to sell your quilts, or if this would be an option for you- but sometimes retailer's offer 0% interest if the item is over say $299, and you pay it off in a certain period of time. Maybe you could buy a new window and finance it that way? I get offers like this with my Lowe's card. Another possibility....is the window under warranty? Amazingly, our window's maker, Pace, will repair our windows at no charge....I've had 2 fixed that were broken. Good luck to you.

You might check your homeowner's policy. Some of them have glass replacement clause that has no deductible.
