We still have a lot of snow and tonight the wind blowing like crazy, but I do live 82 miles from Yellowstone National Park. I love the snow and the cold can always get warm with more clothes or a nice warm quilt, but summer you can only take so much off or you scare the little kids!!

I did the same thing (mid missouri) we had two days that the temps were in the high 50's low 60's, turned off the furnace and opened the windows. Came home last night and it was chilly in the dining room so I turned the little heater on. This morning I woke up and it was down right FREEZING in there, then one of the kids looked out the window at the neighbor dog and said look Kenz, the window is open and there is ice on it! WHAT? My husband "closed" the windows the other night however he left that one open about an inch.

The weather was nice but I feel horrible for the people who lost their homes in St. Louis and Rolla due to the tornados. I was going to go help them I got word they didn't want "storm chasers" (ie anyone who didn't live there even though they were willing to help clean crap up and or donate items or money) in their neighborhoods so I stayed home.

Here in south Ontario, Canada, the remains of the super storm we had just before Christmas is also gone. Downriver! It all melted over the last couple of days, and now downriver they're having flooding. Go figure!
