I received an offer to buy, almost word for word as yours. I deleleted it without a reply. I wonder if he has had takers before, and that is why he keeps posting. Mine was about 2 years ago.

That sounds exactly like the spam emails we all get saying we have won a lottery we didn't enter and all we have to do is send $$$$ to someone for a processing fee and then we'll get the money. Right!!! :hunf:

No matter what I list on Craigs List I get a lot of these type of responses. So many, that I rarely list anything any more.

Just disable email responses ("hide) and get a Google Voice number, rings on your phone but is not traceable to you.

plus you get free long distance calls on Google Voice :D

Same thing when I listed a sewing machine on craigslist. Looks like a direct quote of the msg. I got!

I have received things like this from other sources than Craigs list....It's the same type of scam when you get a note or call from a 'friend' stranded in another country who has lost all their money and have had an accident and need your money 'right now' to get out of a jam...... Yeah, right!

Thank you for posting this warning. I know some might get tired of these thinking some are so obvious but when these happen I'm sure the receivers are not thinking about scams, but rather selling their item, their loved family member (jailed in another country scams), or whatever else thats going on around them. I'm hoping the more we see or hear of these the more aware we all become so we all stop and think. Again thanks for posting.
