I love, love, love Paula Begoun. Look her up on the net. She tells you what products are good and what is bad, every product out there is covered, from cheap to expensive. She really knows her ingredients and every price range is covered. We (my daughter and I) have saved a ton of money not buying useless stuff. I bought her books (The Beauty Bible is one) and then she opened this site. She has made her own line of products also and we have never been disappointed. On Thursday night she has an online radio program that is very popular.

I am 72 yo and have no wrinkles whatsoever. I scrub my face every day with a soft wash cloth and Yardley's lavender soap. This exfoliates dead cells. Then I apply a small amount of Olay hydrating lotion.
Have been doing this for a long long time.

I do have to say that wrinkles can be determined by genetics as well. My mother who passed away at age 90 had very few wrinkles even at the end.

I don't wash my face with soap. I only use water. I used to use soap and all different kinds and it seemed to make my face break out. Then I had to keep buying acne products and moisturizers. I went to a doctor and she told me to stop using all products on my face and I listened....and very happy with the outcome. Once in a while I have to put a little lotion on my face(usually a few months into the winter) and my skin is fine. I think all the chemicals they put in all the products make your skin worse so you have to keep buying more.

I wash my face with Baby Wash, followed by a gentle astringent (Clean & Clear). In the morning (under make-up) I use a generic "Olay" moisturizer and at night I use a dab of olive oil and massage it in.

I love the way olive oil makes my skin feel, but have never tried using it under make-up.

Don't forget to put sunscreen on your face everyday. Most moisturizers have spf, but just wanted to remind everyone to use sunscreen, prevents sun damage, age spots and skin cancers.

genetics does play a big part of how good/bad your skin looks. my mom had very few wrinkles when she died at 96, her mom had few wrinkles too. i use dove to wash my face with and then olive oil because my skin is VERY dry, followed by a slathering of homemade hand cream (recipe found on this board). i use the same under makeup too. to exfoliate i put a spoon of sugar in my hand and a few drops of olive oil, stir & rub my face with it. my face feels soooooo good when i wash it off. BTW, i added olive oil to the homemade handcream recipe too.

My exMIL has beautiful skin. she just turned 90!!!! At her birthday party someone asked her what she uses on her skin and she said she has always used baby oil!!!

My daughter, her GD, has beautiful skin too, and she uses a product with olive oil in it. I think it is DHC and they are kind of expensive!

I would love to hear what some of you use and why you like them. :-)
I use Placenta by Hask its the real Placenta, I use it all the time every day to replace the natural oils of what the wind and sun take out , they have it in a vile bottle and make it for your hair,I buy it at the Walgreens Store.. it very cheap , not like the creams and oils they sell.. good luck

I wash my face daily with ground up oatmeal, not the instant kind., and at night I use vitamin E on my face. it is a little thick, but definitely works. I avoid the sun and have done so for years and years. have very few wrinkles, most people guess 50, but I am 63 now. No smoking, no drinking, no soft drinks.
