Last year when DH went to Vegas on business, I went along, bringing my sewing machine and a project to work on while he was conducting business. I don't really care for gambling, so it gave me something to do by myself.

When I traveled to NV I took my machine as my carry on! Of course, check carefully when opening the overhead door!!

You could always check the local yellowbook for listings of LQS in Laughlin, for something else to do. That way even if you don't have your machine, maybe you could take a class while you are there, and maybe get a new skill?

If I ever go somewhere without something to work on, I invariably hit a book store for a new quilting book to read or Wal Mart for a yarn and needle so I can crochet. Just can't travel without something to feed my need to create.

Its okay, you have 4 days to deal with... there are times that I wish I could take my sewing machine to work (pharmacy and sewing probably doesn't mix??). Particularly on those slow weekend days when I am in the middle of a really neat quilt, but I just plan and bide my time until I am home again.
