I decided to take today off from work and I joined a few friends at a beautiful park and needlepointed for 4 hours in the shade. We brought our lunch and then we went shopping at a needlework store in Massachusetts.

It was a glorious day in Connecticut.

I wish I could take more days off like that, in the middle of the week.

Did anyone else do something spectacular today?

We took the kids to the Cape May Zoo. Beautiful place to take the kids. Quieter that a city zoo and much more spread out. Lots of walking around over wooden bridges and dirt paths (not concrete or paved walks).

Glad you had a wonderful, relaxing day! 2nd part of final tomorrow and Friday taking a road trip to some LQS out of town that I've never visited. I feel better already!!!!

I sat out on my patio sewing Christmas Stockings. Ate a salad, drank some iced tea...started gathering things for my secret Pal for September....AND visited 150 quilt shops on the computer for the FabShopHop!!!!
Petted the dogs, watered my husbands tomato plants, took a short nap, filed my fingernails, thought about shaving my legs, but figured that can wait till tomorrow. lol. Watched the landscapers attempt to weed eat the little suckles from the tree out in the yard...he gave up and they are still growing.
I watched a little gray squirrel come running into the yard to get some kernel corn that we buy for them and put out. Watched about 10 hummingbirds swarm past my head heading to the 2 hummingbird feeders we have out for them. Listened to the breeze. In the far distance I could hear a little child playing. Then when I was so engrossed in thought and daydreaming, the elementary school bell rang and scared me stupid. LOL School Starts on Monday here and they started the bell ringing today to make sure that it works. But thats about all I have done today. Was a nice pleasant day. :) Hope everyone else had a great day. OH, I live across the street from the elementary school and my patio faces the PLAYGROUND..

I just graduated last July from Health Info Tech. I loved Anatomy and Physiology classes. Yea, I'm weird. I just wouldn't suggest doing all I did in one year again. LOL

All I did today was pack and when I got tired of packing, I played on Pogo.com. And when I wasn't playing games, I was on here reading. So much to do, so little time.

Helped DD pack for her move on Thurs/Fri. Made a trip to the dump ($8.50 fee) and then a trip to donate to Value Village. Then to the bank to help them with the down payment. All-in-all, a productive but expensive day! LOL! Maybe a 4-hour relaxing cross-stitch opportunity will come up soon :)

I got my hair cut/colored and then took some things to the thrift ranch for donation, then off to my late DH Dr and gave them the C-Pap machine that hopefully someone can use, then off again to the city for DD Dr appoint with her surgeon.. All is healing nicely and she can do PE now..
