Whoopie. DD did a science fair project with eggs. coke isn't the only thing that does weird things to eggs over a long period of time.

Now that I am 50, I don't worry about it, I haven't had a coke since I was about 14yrs. But if I could only convince my mom.

Whatever it is, I'm not going to watch. BUT my DH recently had a kidney stone and his doctor told him to drinl lots of Coke - it would help dissolve the kind of stone he had. I'm thinking I'll stay with 7Up

Elementary science projects have dissolved teeth, eggs, metal spoons, etc. in soda pop and takes weeks, not year. will not grow mold. Also white bread will not mold (cheap kind with many preservatives) if left out for weeks. FDA stopped one bread company from putting embalming fluid in their loaves. They claimed it didn't decay. Duh! Check the food value of many processed food and you will find very little or none. Read labels.

Of course soda is not good for you, sugar being the number one reason, but that experiment only proofs that coke removes calcium from your body if you are an egg. Your teeth have a protective coat that separates them from the coke for the short period that they become in contact and your bones will never be in contact with it. As said before, moderation is the key for everything.

Ragu will do as much damage to meat and bones as soda if submerged in it for awhile. If anyone drinks soda everyday then it's their fault if their bones dissolve and they become a big bouncing ball.

I love my CocaCola, and it's nice to know it has other uses too. Like cleaning off my battery terminals if they get corroded, or tenderizing a ham for cooking. It's all good.
