Default ideas for paint color for bathroom

I am looking for ideas for bathroom paint color.
I want the color to complement violet.
The closest match for the violet is the center color in the photo shown in the link.

Would appreciate your input.
Thank you.

What type of technique are you going to use? How large is the bathroom? I have used different colors of purple with olive or chocolate brown accents.

When I am undecided as to complementary colors, I take a stroll through a fabric section and look for prints that have the color I want to coordinate with. When you find a print, look at all the colors in the print and decide which (or if) you like any of them in combination with your main color.

To complement Violet ... is that the colour of your bedroom? or something you are wanting to put into the bathroom?

If the bedroom is violet ... how about a lighter shade?.

Go withs ... think of flowers, particularly irises ... other shades of violets/purples, deeper, lighter
White ... can help to keep it clean and fresh looking
Grey ... I'd be careful on that. For me it could become dreary all too fast.
Mustard ... can work really nice with violet
Pinks, rubies, burgundy, etc. .... again back to looking at flowers!

I would go with mint green and put up some botanical prints of violet flowers.

A beautiful shade of sage green, herb green, or even ivory would be pretty with violet.

Hi ranger. I saw a beautiful silver that I want to use in my bathroom. It isn't that big a room and the former owners of my house really did a horrible job in all the rooms they painted so I'm have to re-paint them.

I am having my interior repainted and I choose a silvery gray (not drab) for my bathroom. It has a blue undertone. I chose a little darker shade for my bedroom. My grandson put samples on the wall today for us to check out. I like to do this to check out the colors at different times of the day. My main rooms will be a medium tone khaki...the sample has more green in it than I want so we're going to have it corrected tomorrow. My grandson worked for a paint company and he is soooo good with colors. I'm lucky to have him!!
