Come on over, I'll find something for you to do. When my kids complained of being bored I would make a list of things to do and they were to pick one thing off the list and have to do it. I didn't have to do that very many times. They soon learned not to complain of boredom around me.
grann...I bet you could find lots for me to do and I would probably like it. I even like weeding and working in the yard...and I have seen your yard...but and this is a real big BUT...those dogs are like horses...and would probably scare you know what out of me...

Anyhow the dogs would LOVE you.

Okay, the gauntlet is down. Now you HAVE to come visit me. You need to see first hand that big dogs are calmer and easier to get along with than little dogs. They do bark occasionaly but they aren't YAPPY. Heidi was just trying to befriend the neighbor's 2 year old Gkids, twins. Look at this. Let me see if I got the right picture.

Nope, didn't work. This new Windows 7 is getting me in a little fuss.

Maybe you are just fatigued with all the stuff you've been dealing with - how about some sleep?

I just checked that out. Not for me. Can't do all that hand stitching. I saw the blocks Quilter7X has made for it. Wow!! I can't work on black or dark colors; too hard to see what I'm doing.
Grann, there are several people who are doing their blocks entirely by machine, and they look wonderful!! Come on in and join the party!!!! Just try one, and you'll be hooked!!! You can even do the embroidery by machine as some are doing, or you can leave it off the block. We're having so much fun making these blocks uniquely ours so there are definitely NO quilt police sticking their noses in on this project!!! :-D :-D Go to the sop of the first page of the thread, and click on the link that you will find located there in the left hand corner. That will bring up all the threads for each block and for some tutes, too. Check out the blocks that everyone has been working on, and you'll see how varied they are. 8-)

Some are using black for the background (I am for one), but some are using light colors instead. That's what's so much fun about the AOTH blocks. You can do them the way you want and the way in which you are most comfortable. Believe me!!! I'm a newborn baby with these, but mine are coming along pretty doggone good, and I know I'll get better over time. They aren't perfect by any means, but they are such fun to do. Very calming for me to do hand stitching. One of the other great things about these blocks is that all the fabrics are coming from my stash!! I'll just have to purchase fabric for the borders and for the backing. ;)

I guess that means I have to buy another book. I'll think about it. That is really not my style at this time. I am more for the pinwheel or some other quickie type thing.
