I thought about working inn a quilt shop but this kept me away. I was afraid that rather than a check i would get a bill to cover the amount I owed

Where in PA? I am going next week to visit my daughter near Hershey & wondering about maybe a little private shop hop? Wouldn't that be fun (for me!)?

Good for you! I've always thought that I'd like to do that but I pinned a board on my Pinterest account that says "Isn't a quilter working in a fabric store kind of like an alcoholic working in a bar?" and I realized that it would probably NOT be a good thing in my case!! LOL

Enjoy it though.......although, I agree with one of the earlier posters who said it's HARD work. My stepdaughter manages a quilt shop and they reset their stock ALL the time!

I worked at a local Jo-ann store at two different times. It was almost like me paying them to let me show up.
