I'm not either, yet at times I must rise and stagger around the house at 5 AM, that is Oh dark hundred!! We go to some early drives out of town and the road trip is long and thank goodness I'm not the driver. I sit back in the back seat and nod off, cuddled up in my lap robe that lives in the van in winter. But usually I stay up late and for the latest hours I'm on the computer till 2 or so and then to bed, after discussing which side of the bed the cat will sleep on. He usually wants my side but I'm bigger than he so I usually win. He gets even with me, at about 4 AM he will jump from the top of the wall to wall bookcase and land on my full bladder....I've learned not to sleep in the middle of the bed.

As for appointments? I went to a doctor once who suggested a followup appointment. When I went to make the appointment, the receptionist suggested "7:30 ok with you?" I replied that I didn't know they were open that late. She told me she meant 7:30 am...I told her my clock only has ONE "7:30" on it, and it had NOTHING to do with "am"!!!!

Not a morning person. So much so that during the school year I'd get my son up and off then take a nap lol. DH and him never have figured out how I can stay up so late and get up early hehehe

I have never been a morning person. DH was on mid-nights for 18yrs, now he's on days. He thought I would get up with him at 4:30 am, It happened twice, now he would rather I stayed in bed. If we see each other in the a.m. it's because I haven't been to bed yet.

I am torn. I like sleeping in, but I also enjoy waking up early and having a full day. Mornings are peaceful, but also boring so that is another reason to sleep in.
I go back and forth. I don't make appts till after 10am.

When recently ask to come in at 8:30am I asked "why? feel like pushing your luck?" At that early Im either going to be VERY irritable and tired, or too sleepy to care.

I sure do the same thing now that I'm retired. At times I stay up until 3:00 am quilting. It somehow relaxes me and I enjoy the peacefullnes at that time. And yes, I do spend a lot of time reading this board.

Love very early mornings and late nights....I can get by with about 4 hours sleep, but as I am married I make it 6 as it is bothersome for everyone if I'm up and about rummaging around. Always been the same, ever since I was a child.

I stay up until about 4:30 a.m. and sleep until 11. I learned to do this because my daughter and her 3 kids with ADHD lived with me and the only me time I got was after they went to bed! So, so peaceful!!!!!!!!!! Now they've moved but I see no reason to change my schedule. I even insisted on a daytime nurse to take care of my foster son so that I could sleep in. I also don't make appointments before 12:30 in the afternoon--later if possible. ;)
