Default inappropriate messages from AU

I've reported several recently. Don't they have anything better to do than hassle a quilting board?

I grow weary of these posts .... they really ought to limit the ability of someone to join, log on and send out links immediately. I know in the past that has not been a problem but it sure has recently.

Looks like they can post them faster than they can be reported, as several lately have posted in five different areas. I have tried reporting all of them one after the other and you have to wait a while between reports.

Default How To Report Inappropriate Posts

According to Mods -
  • if you report it by posting about it or by sending and email or PM it will take a lot longer to get fixed.
  • if there are more posts out there with inappropriate content, please report them using the triangle icon.
The triangle icon is on the left side of the page - a red triangle with a black exclamation point in the triangle.
After clicking on that it will take you to a page where you type something in (such as "spam" "porn" "inappropriate" "please delete" or whatever)
Then you will need to click on the box "Send Report"
This will be sent to all the moderators.

It's automatic hacking. Hit a button and it's spread on any public forum. The hackers have no clue where it's posted nor do they care. Spammers are extremely organized and a well run business.

Like others here I find it a bit frustrating. I just hope reporting is enough to protect us from the spammers.

people have too much time on their hands. You know the old adage idleness is the Devil's workshop.
