On our third iPad, not because of the product, but mt klutziness. Madame Kelly is correct about the security of Apple products. I used to be a staunch Microsoft user. No more. Turn the iPad off completely at night and recharge it. No problems. Easy peasy.

As as horrible as this idea sounds, rather than buy another tablet, try going into "settings", then "general", go all the way to the bottom on the right side, then push reset, you will follow prompts to reset. You will loose your bookmarks, and apps, but it is still easier than buying and learning a new product. After the reset, you can go to the App Store and reload any apps you have paid for, and any you may have gotten free. Look under "purchased". If you are like me and try free apps (not usually sample of apps) through the "Apps Gone Free" app, you may have to hunt for the ones you had, but still easier than learning a new machine. Best part, FREE! Good luck dear, and no more clicking on things that "just appear". Hope this improves your experience and avoid the dreaded "Mac Store". Lol!
{for the record, when I got my replacement, I just went to the App Store, reloaded what I had paid for or had free, and off we go, back in business! Yippee!}

Before I got my iPad, I did buy a Sony E-reader. It was very easy to learn, but all I could do on it was read books. It did weigh more than most books, could not be read in sunshine, and had the added hazard of dirt, dust, and debris causing damage. I decided I preferred the durability of real books, so passed it on. DH decided on a android tablet. His screen is not compatible with my eyes for some reason and looking at the screen gives me a headache, because of the lines crossing the screen, and he ignores his android and uses mine instead, so we are getting him a reconditioned Ipad2. We are both too old and clumsy to pay for "brand new pretty" and reconditioned machines done by Apple work great. (More money for sewing!)

I have a Kindle fire and it is just perfect for me when I am in the sewing room. I put it on a Cookbook stand, and can watch the videos from Utube with it in easy reach for stop and go. Never have had a problem

I started with a Samsung Galaxy tablet & had no problems. All facebook info that came through on my laptop automatically came to my Samsung UNTIL I bought my iPad then I had problems. Thanks to a terrific lady from thei Tech Dept., we got it sorted out after an hour on the phone. After trying the 2 tablets, the iPad is good but not worth the extra cost compared to Samsung Galaxy. The only reason I changed in the first place was because my granddaughter wanted a tablet so I gave her my Samsung & bought myself an iPad (mostly because of all the hype around them). I sometimes with I had kept my Samsung. IMHO.
