You can always go back and edit.
Exactly!! Everyone I know is in my phone, if your name does not pop up when the phone rings, leave a message, I will not answer. I pay for the phone for my convenience, not a salesman!!

A friend of mine was getting these calls and they never leave a message. The machine would pick up they would hang up and instantly redial her. The other day ago they started the marathon calling again while she was on the cell with her DD's school. DD just turned 14 and she is quite the drama queen and wants to argue about any and all things. Well she finally got off the cell and decided to shut up the land line caller. The caller ID'd himself as an IRS agent and started telling her she owed thousands of dollars. They were going to take her house and car and bank accts. She very calmly told him I rent this place-my truck is 20 yrs old and in the shop not worth the repair charge my bank acct is in arrears and the only other thing I have that is worth any thing is a mouthy 14 yr old and right now you can come get it all. She hasn't heard from them again. She thinks the threat of a mouthy teenager scared them the most. I use to get the same calls and I just started the conversation with 'This call is being recorded' I haven't gotten a call from these people since May

Agree with both of you, the only time they fool me is when they use a "local" number - but it sure cuts down on the junk calls.

Sunday afternoon is my digital clean up time. I run a security scan on my computers, back up the hard drive the main computer and visit the "do not call" registry and list all the telemarketer or scam calls I've received that week. By doing that the calls have dropped from a couple of dozen a week to less than 4. It doesn't take that much time and does show results.

I've been getting those calls since May. They leave threatening voice mails about arrest warrants, bring my attorney and money or else. I googled and found that the IRS and FTC now have online reporting pages. They are serious about stopping these guys. Here is the link to the latest article and the reporting info is all the way to the bottom of the page. You can report online or call it in. I reported the last call to both the IRS and FTC as the page suggested. Just copy and paste the link into your browser if it isn't clickable or you can google IRS scam and click the link with irs.gov. Don't click on a .com link because it won't actually be the government website if you do.

I have gotten this call quiet a few times. I usually hang up, but once I kept listening and a human got on the call, I asked for the IRS ID#, they hung up on me. SCAM all the way.

I get lots of calls from the microsoft people. I love to interrupt their spiel with comments such as: How's the weather where you are? You have a lovely name or earrings. Anything to throw them off.
When we get to the part of pushing the ms key and a letter key I pretend to do that and they want to know if a box comes up. I say yes. Then I tell them the box says WARNING someone is trying to break into your computer! They are usually stunned and don't know what to say.
Sometimes I say some idiot or some bad word just to make it personal for them. The last lady I talked to a couple of days ago told me I was sick and needed to see a doctor then she hung up on me!
I figure I am just doing a good deed by keeping them from making calls while wasting their time with me!
I really need to get a life!

The seniors I know (and I am one) are no more gullible that the general population. We have computers and know how to use them!

Yes the calls are coming in. My Daughter's boss called them back on the number given. She spent the day hitting redial. each time they answered she would hang up and dial again. It took down their phone system a couple of time that day. These scumbags were telling her to stop doing that. She kept on. Then she started getting everyone else to do it. I call that fighting fire with fire.

These calls are not just annoying they can bring financial disaster especially for the elderly, folks with limited English language skills, or the mentally challenged. We attended a Senior Scam program just recently and it was scary the number of people who had fallen prey to these and other scams including ones claiming to be the police department, foreign consulates, etc. If you do not initiate the call, do not give any information, ask lots of questions and give NO personal information.

I have gotten this call at least 10 times. I love to listen to their spiel and when they get to the part where they say the federal agents will be sent within three hours, I say send them and hang up.

Please everyone be very careful about giving any information to anyone over the phone.

Two days ago it was a call about a detected problem with my computer. I asked them what kind of computer I had. Foul language from the other end.
