Default Remodeling YUK

We are having our bathroom remodeled...3 weeks now...dust everywhere. The house is a mess and it is useless to clean. My sewing room is in the front of the house and I have to keep everything under plastic to keep clean. I know it is going to be worth it, but oh my, what a mess. I'm going to have to wipe everything in the house down, including walls, when they are done. The best thing is the cabinet maker is going to build me wall to wall..floor to ceiling cabinets in my sewing room to hold my fabric. I will post pics when its done.

Keep the faith baby and you'll soon have a beautiful new bathroom and great sewing room storage.

Remodeling is messy, but the results...oh, la, la. Please post pictures of those sewing room cabinets. We're going to have a lot of sewing envy on this board when those get posted! Well, I'll be envious, anyways.

Don't give up, it is worth it in the end! I will be joining you in the building end of things shortly!! My darling hubby has agreed to build me a new playroom!! I am so excited, as soon as the paperwork for the platting the two properties gets completed, the builder gets to come back and hopefully get started. So, keep the faith, it is going to be worth the dust and the mess and all the hassles.

Similar situation here ... remodeling the family room though. And like you, my builder is also going to be building shelves in my sewing room closet when he's done with this job. We are doing a trade ... we're trading him our 2001 Ford Pick-Up for a long list of jobs in the house!!

I can remember a bathroom remodel when the only thing working in the bathroom was the cold water in the tub. And yes, it was the ONLY bathroom in the house!!

Hugs, it will be over soon and you will be so glad you had it done!

Can you also put heavy plastic over the doorway to keep out the dust in your sewing room? You are wise to cover everything with plastic.
