Default Sausage and Ham anyone?

I made my own tailor's ham and sausage.

I stuffed it with wood shavings to give me a firm place to iron curves and such.

and I also made a neck pillow, I can heat it in the microwave if I need a warm compress.

I don't know why they are expensive nor what we paid for them but, we used to buy cedar chips for our boxer dog house in the winter. In a class we used crushed walnut shells from the pet store to stuff pincushions. Just a thought...

The wood shavings are the kind you would put in a hamster or mouse cage. You can get a "bale" of it in the pet aisle
at the grocery store, Walmart, Target or the pet store.

Be careful in the microwave. Don't heat too long.

I had those first two ones for years, never really used them and donated to Goodwill years ago. I hardly used tem and with just quilting, I knew I would never use them.
You are very resourceful.
