It's 88 degrees outside....doesn't sound too horrible, until you add the humidity (75%) which makes the heat index........wait for it.......
101 degrees!!!!!!!!!! It feels like a sauna outside. It's too stinking HOT!!!
How is it where you live?

I love humidity. I have persistent vertigo and sometimes a wall of humidity is the only thing that keeps me upright. :0D

Stay hydrated everyone!

I was born in Cook Minnesota, north of Virginia. That IS hot for up there even in the Cities.

Im In west central Illinois and it is 93 and feels like 108! weather channel says 62% humidity, but seems alot more than that. and its not even the hottest part of the day.

BLAAHHHH I hate hot weather.

In Las Vegas, it's supposed to get to 108 today - but they say it's a "dry" heat. We have low humidity, but it's still hot. A little windy today too, so it's like walking outside into a blow dryer! For later this week, they're giving excessive heat warnings, it's supposed to get to 112. I used to love the summer until I moved here! I even liked the summers when I lived in Shreveport, Louisiana with the humidity there.

Same problem here is Southeastern PA. We usually get maybe 14 days in the 90's the entire summer. We are in our 6th heat wave - 5 or more days in the 90's & it's only mid July. We had 3 days over 100 last week. I keep trying to go out & do some yard work, but in 10 minutes I'm soaking wet. I am so tired of sweating.

I learned something interesting last summer. Hot or warm air is capable of holding more moisture, so 50% humidity on a 90 degree day is actually considerably MORE humid than, say, a 45 degree day with 50% humidity. Good to know, right?

That is high for up there. I used to spend a couple of weeks in Orr every summer. We shopped in Cook for groceries. In fact my cousins are up there fishing now. I too am further south. My thermometer right now registers 98 degrees and I'm afraid to step outside to check on humidity.
