Jot down a few things you want to talk about so you won't forget. Just do show & tell. (makes it sound less stressful)
When you talk about what you like, it comes easier.

They know you are terrific or they wouldn't have asked you. You know your stuff. Concentrate on what you are doing not on the people. Your passion for quilting will take over. They will love you ...and just think when you run for President, we will all vote for you :-) :-) :-)

I will pray you have courage and calm. I just know this is going to be a big success because I know you!
You'll have to do a lot of praying on the day of the presentation, my friend.

Hey, I am holding you to the promise. After all we, as women, could clean up the mess with a good old fashioned "quilting bee".

Congratulations, maybe we should get your autograph before you get too famous. :) I would love to see and hear your presentation on feedsack quilts, they are favorites of so many people-you can't go wrong. Enjoy and let us know how it goes.

If you start now you'll have time to make the presentation, it's not until Sept 2nd.

Just remember, all these people love the same thing you love. They are anxious to hear what you have to say and invited you because they want YOU. There may be one person in the audience that was scared to come because they fear crowds. Or maybe they are new to quilting and are afraid to try a new quilt. You will be great. Just talk to them like it's a room full of ....well, US!

And, could I have your autograph now, before it costs money to get it?!?

I think that the key is organization. Plan more than you will have time to cover, is there a way to involve your audience (game or questions), stack your samples etc. in the order you will use them, maybe make a list of what you will cover in time order (you could even put this on a dry erase board for all to see and then you would know how your aloted time is going). Try to talk slowly, it will probably be just the right speed.
