Hi All.
Nothing newsworthy to report. Just cutting back on portions and moving more. Cleaning out drawers and general cleaning to keep me up and moving instead of vegetating in front of the tv. I stopped eating after 6:00. thats all for today.

Hope everyone feels better and all the problems get resolved. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Well I woke up feeling worse than when I went to bed. I am going to stay bundled up on the couch today, and yes I did call in.

I would love to see some people share some of what has worked for them, or hasn't worked. Lets encourage one another any way we can.

Once I can get out to the store I am going to get me some bottled water and lemons to drink some lemon water, I know from past experiences that the lemon water is a great natural diuertic and will help with weight loss.

I'm not really sure what works for me - except cutting down. TOday I have picked a bit, but it was right after my lunch, nothing between breakfast and lunch and nothing I plan to snack on before dinner is served. I try to have something to drink all during the day, but I haven't been able to put my finger on any specific thing that works for me - maybe keeping out of the kitchen?? THat's why it's so hard for me to lose.

I see we have some more new faces on board with us. Welcome each and everyone. I am excited to see how we do this month and each month this year.

Please feel free to share something about yourself and what you are working on. And if I forget to mention anyone please forgive me it was an oversight.

Ljs313 - welcome back for your time away

Remember the weight didn't go on in 1 day and it wont come off in 1 day. It took us many days of it creeping on and will do the same going away. Drink plenty of water. It is important to stay hydrated.

Happy New Year ladies! It's a new year and I need to get my life back on track. Since I last joined this group I have managed to lose a few pounds, but not nearly enough. My knees are getting worse every day and the extra weight just makes it worse. Plus, I will be starting back to work on Monday and most of my work clothes are now too small. So it's time to get serious. I just joined a challenge group on Facebook to walk/run/whatever 40 miles in January so that should help. Since I missed the first three days, I will need to do about 1-1/2 miles a day. Guess I better get that FQ in the mail.

Welcome Back Laurejo. looks like this month we have a good crowd. You make #25.....makes for a nice pile of FQ's for the winner.

Where is the challenge group on Facebook.....I hadn't seen it. I think that is something I should join also. I am going to get me another pedometer.......and track my walking.

Good luck

It is a group started by a coworker of a friend. She sent me the link, I will try to post a link. I don't know for sure who all can join, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. http://www.facebook.com/groups/46541...5413576854850/

I just came from buying honey and cinnamon. Pam said in a previous month that her relative lost 20 pounds with it. Does that mean I can eat too much and still lose? Duh. I do know the answer to that.

Shadowirish, your FQ is in the mail - red with aqua and purple flowers. Don't panic - it's a pretty print.

Laurie, welcome back. I,m looking forward to your posts. I should post my walking miles here if it wouldn't discourage any who can't currently walk any distance. I used to have a chart to convert other exercises to walking miles. We used it at school when we had healthy competitions during a worksite wellness push in the late 80s and early 90s. The I am waiting to go out today until the wind dies down a bit. It's not too cold, in the low 20s, but there's a 30 mph wind. Lily and Moira have been ready to go for hours. Tough luck, furgirls.

I am losing weight and becoming healthier.
