Thanks Pat, I'll try that or end up waiting for our son to visit and see if he can help. He doesn't have a Mac but does pretty good at working things out.
I'm with you on the workout DVD thing. I have a bad back so jumping and twisting is out. Just get a middle range workout and start out easy and work up at your own pace. Whatever you do with the workout is more than you are doing now..right?
I still have the three pounds from the holiday eating on me so I must still be eating more than my body needs,Grr.
Welcome pethefabric and Mousiest the more the better to keep our spirits up. I need to go check what FQ color I need to send in Feb. Off to play in my fabric starch.
Hugs to all
Gail

No overeating for me today. I have on a pair of high waisted jeans that don't have any spandex. I didn't know I still owned such a thing. I made a small pineapple upside cake this morning. This way, I will make it last a few days. I should call daughter #4, she's not totally gluten free, but she loves that cake. I make her one in August for her b'day.

My body will be happy to have a day off from exercise other than walking because my legs were sore last night. I do think I'm going to buy a Sit and be Fit DVD to have for days I can't be home at 2:30. There are so many to choose from it will be hard to decide which one. Arthritis? Fibromyalgia? Etc?

Have a clean eating day, y'all. Move your body, drink your water and think good thoughts.

Good afternoon ladies......well I have been productive this morning. I have been working on the t-shirt quilt. it is up on the design wall, am making some progress with it. I hope to have it done by the end of Feb.

Blood sugars are slowly getting better, go back to the doc on the 7th.

back to work on the quilt now.

Good Afternoon! Glad your blood sugars are improving!
I stay-stitched at 1/8" around the edges of my quilt. I have finished pressing the seams of about 1/3 of it. This thing is huge. Once I have pressed the back to make sure the seams look good I will flip it and press the front. Just needed to sit down and cool off a little!
My son came home so I had a terrible breakfast. 2 pancakes, 4 pieces of bacon and two fried eggs. I just hope that by the end of the month I have not gained weight.
We did go for a 20 min walk this morning. I really need go get out and walk every day, but I don't.

So far this weekend has been very productive. I have been working on the t-shirt quilt, it is up on the design wall and figured out how I am putting it together. I dont ever do king size, so in the end she may end up with 2 quilts. One queen and the other a lap quilt.

I have also been going through some of the bins that have fabric in them, and some have been moved to a storage area, out of my way. They were being stored infront of a cabinet that I needed to get into from time to time. SO now they are out of my way until i am ready to deal with them. I have kept the ones in my apartment that have projects in them.

I am going to get back to work on my cleaning and organizing, still need to do some cooking for the week. I have salmon, tilapia, chicken to cook along with red potatoes that i will roast, veg wise...squash, zuchinni, red onions, broc, carrots and snow peas, and some brown rice. will mix and match for the week.

If you want to send in a FQ to participate that is great, but if you just want to participate in the discussions and tips and support that would be great!
oh goodie! It would be nice to yack with some ppl trying to achieve similar goals AND quilters to boot. What more could a mousie ask for? ....uh, oh yeah, drop about 50 pounds

thanks Irish.
I'll try to get on the scale tomorrow if I remember.
I'm not one to get on all the time bc it can discourage me, so I'd rather feel my clothes getting loose and then look at the numbers.

thanks, create...I'll just wing it and see how it goes.
I'll say one thing...the other day I just got so fed up with how tired I have been feeling and said, "Self,...you either need to go get some blood work done, or cut out all carbs and see if that makes a difference."
No need to go see the sawbones.
I've cut way back and feel quite a bit better and trying really hard to keep it up.
I'm looking forward to having some place to talk about any progress. thanks

thanks for the welcome.
Reading the latest comments has me hankering to know what my scale does say.
Thing is I have to remember to get on it before I take my meds to get the correct number.
I have a Gazelle to work out on.
It's kind of like a skiing motion and I get an allover effect. I have it in a room with a tv so it's great
The bummer is, my doc said with my circumstances I need an hour every single day.
Boy, when I first heard that my heart sank, but then I just said, "Well...it's a plan,...better than NO plan."
I also like the idea that I read one time of putting 1 lb. cans on the table to show myself how much fat I've lost.
If I ever see my goal I hope the cans don't break the table ...
