Congratulations Quiltermomma! You did it, and that is a lot especially for that month of all months.

We had the last of the Christmas parties yesterday. My Dh family were all here. If everyone showed up it would be 57 people. There were 37 here. A few are out of town and a few won't come because of family issues. There are a few who just never come, no one knows why. It was really nice. I threw the fudge away when they left. I just keep eating it. There are getting to be a lot of little kids again with everyones grandkids. A glass of wine got spilled all over my living room carpet. It was a really dark red wine of course. I got it out of the carpet with resolve carpet cleaner. It stained some of the grout on our fireplace. I will work on that later. After they left I noticed it all over the sleeve of my brand new sweater. So I decided to spray it with the Resolve carpet cleaner, it took 2 treatments but it all came out.

I will say was a challenge because the tin of chocolate was full!!!! Then to do holiday baking for neighbors, then a vacation in Phoenix when all you seemed to do was go out to eat. Good thing I increased my water as suggested, exercised more (meaning I started lol) and kept in touch with you ladies. I love reading the info you put on here, it sure helps to stay focused. Now to get over this cold and move forward again.

Congrats QuilterMomma! That is quite an achievement over December. I hate to think about how much I gained over that time. Holiday baking gets me everytime.

Congratulations QuilterMomma. I just got back home from Florida for Christmas visit with parents and family. Waiting for me were the fat quarters for November win. They are beautiful fabrics! Can't wait to use them. I won't be joining in this month. I have no idea what I weighed on December 31 or January 1. So will join in next month. Have lots of weight to lose. Good luck everyone.

COngrats QM - that was an amazing feat for the holiday season. And Sandy Wh, join us now and just really play along, watching everything you do, you'll be already losing when you get in on the first of February.
We typically eat out about 3x per week, always have. I generally have a chicken salad of some sort or a chicken plate, but this year, we are trying to eat out less. I'll start cooking my chicken here at home and mix it up with the beef (hubby's favorite) meals. Have been making fruit salads and keeping them for when I just have to have a snack of some sort. Mix them with a yogurt sometimes and other times, just the juice from the canned fruit that I might use. Made a fresh one today - grapes, bananas, apple, orange, kiwi with plain yogurt and just before I serve it, I throw on some minced dates. Probably has more calories that I'd like, but I figure it's better than some cookies or ice cream or other desserts I might have. Plus, I have been losing, so guess it's okay for me. Need to drink more water in this coming year, good resolution I need to keep.

Great job QuilterMomma. Losing during the holidays is quite an accomplishment! Winning fat quarters is so exciting!

Today's tip

Dairy products are amazing sources of calcium, vitamin D, potassium, protein and other important nutrients. Make sure to get your dairy every day to maintain bone health at all ages! http://www.choosemyplate.gov/food-groups/downloads/TenTips/DGTipsheet5GotYourDairyToday.pdf
