OMG my body is falling apart! MY right knee is bad and bothers me off and on. My left hamstring has been a little bit sore for a couple of weeks. I pulled it yesterday. GRRR! Not sure what I did I noticed how sore it was going up the 1 step to get in the front door. My right knee hurts somewhat going down stairs and the left cheek hurts going up. I scheduled a massage for Tuesday. Hopefully that will help.

I received 3 FQ from Megan. So pretty. I can't decide if I like the purple or the orange one the best. DOes anyone know how to get pictures from my iPhone onto here? I haven't been able to get it to work. I am down 2.5 pounds.

Penni good luck with the surgery.

I've cut out most of my night snacking and have lost the few pounds that I recently gained! I've been wanting dessert for the last few nights but my kids have been a great support telling me I don't need it and to get used to not having it. They've been great. I went out to dinner with girlfriends and didn't eat as much of the bread as normal and only ate half my entree (brought the rest home for another day). I'm trying to be good!

A blessed Sunday to everyone. Apologies for not posting more - my days just evaporate, especially when my son is home. Got him back to his apartment in Austin yesterday, classes for the new semester begin on Tuesday. Hopefully he is set for a while. Still have not had my machine repaired, but it worked well enough for my son to make 6 little fabric bowls/boxes. After making so many quilts last year, I'm still catching my breath. I am however, looking at maybe starting something new from my humongous scrap piles. Being able to make something without a deadline will be a nice change.

Congratulations Pete on your loss!

Congratulations Gayle on precious additions to your family.

Pat, how is the hamstring?

I am working on getting my ducks in a row - right now focused on tax return and submitting the FAFSA. After such a hurricane of work and getting ready for Christmas, I am kinda lost.

Hugs to my friends this day.

Jim's Gem - quit bragging about the warm weather! We are really having a long cold spell. Tell us how the road to California Quilt show was. MeanMom - we eat at Pandera's every Sunday for breakfast -- I get the steak power bowl: egg white scrambled, tomato slices, a few slices of avocado and some sliced steak ...no carbs. Hate watching everyone else at our table eating bagels, muffins, scones, etc. But, I am determined this time. Had game night last week with my GNO group - and behaved myself! I took no carbs. Brought two of the desserts home to my hubby!
meganc731 - can't wait ro see the purple!

Gayle- any baby news?? Congrats on #6 as well!!!

Raggiemom- yep that worked! Space heater did equal lots of work done! I was doing the 7th mystery quilt on this board but I didn't get a chance to do the last step before I switched into wedding gift/vacation mode. I have everything almost completed!

Pat- glad you got the FQ's! I've been eyeing that orange in my LQS for awhile was happy I got a chance to buy it! Also I used to be able to post pictures from my phone just fine but recently I can't. I can only do it from my iPad :/

Cindy- that is the hardest part for me, nighttime snacking and desserts. Congrats for sticking with it! I went to a movie tonight and I wanted popcorn so bad but I've been at a stall and I knew it wouldn't help. I somehow powered through it but it's a good thing I liked the movie or I would have caved.

Pete- good job sticking to it! My purple FQ will make it all worth it hehehe

Good morning everyone!
Yes we have a beautiful little girl
Annabelle Noelani Grace Alvarez was born on Saturday. Weight 8 lb 5 oz, 20.5 in. I got to be there for the delivery. It went pretty fast. No time for an epidural. Daughter freaked out at that. But we survived! LOL!!!
I am heading down there to her house shortly to help out for a few days. They should be getting out of the hospital sometime this morning. Her husband gets 3 weeks off (could you imagine that, my DH got about 3 days, my dad, none) His sister lives there at the house with them so I am not really NEEDED just wanted.
Road to California starts on Thursday but we typically go on Friday. So I will drive there from my daughter's house on Friday morning and meet my friends. I need to use a wheel chair for shows. I can only be on my feet for a couple hours (barely) before I am in a lot of pain. So I will walk up pushing my own wheel chair (it's a transport chair) until I find my friends. Looking forward to the show.
I mailed out my FQ's (finally) on Friday. Hopefully you will get them tomorrow.
I don't know how well my eating will go these next couple of days. My Son in law loves bacon and I have a hard time resisting it if I'm cooking it or nearby while it's cooking.
Looking forward to playing with my grand-sons (2 and 3.5) for a couple of days and holding little Anna.
Hope you all stay un-frozen. It was 80 here Saturday. I think it is suppose to only be 75 today and drop to 70 on Wednesday. I suppose I should bring a couple of long sleeve shirts with me.
Purple is my favorite. I'm going to have to starve myself to win those next month

I spent the day at my friends house collecting fabric for a wall hanging we both want to make. It is good that she has a LQS in her basement. We needed a progression from light to dark (8 fabrics) in 8 different colors. Plus at 4 to 8 blues for the sky. We worked on picking out the colors and cutting the fat 1/8ths that we need from 9:30 to 3:30. It calls for 72 different fabrics for a wall hanging. It is a Bargello city scape, the pieces finish to 1 1/2 x 1/2. I hope I don't go insane making it. http://www.quiltedgallery.com/patterns/p_midnight.html. DOn't know if the link will work. It is called Midnight cityscape.
Eating has been pretty good today. I also went to my yoga class. I really enjoy it.

Congratulations to those who lost this month. I'm just holding my own - no loss, no gain so I guess I should be happy with that. One of my problems is I can't do much exercising because of a bad knee and both hips are really giving me pain. Have an appt. with an orthopedic dr. on Wed. and can't wait to see what he says. I am really tired of always being afraid of falling, which has happened, even the dogs just running into me can knock me down. When I hear them coming I stand still and if possible brace myself by holding up the walls.

I haven't mailed my 3 FQs in yet, will do that next week, I won 2 months so I'm not worried about winning anytime soon. But I do need to lose the weight and now that the cookie temptation is over hopefully I will get back on track.
