Get on my bandwagon then, I am on a roll for batiks as well. I am going to post a few cards around the bad areas of snacks in the office and at home so I stay on track. Snacks seem to be my downfall, I am a bored eater I realized. I only lost the two pounds last month, but they stayed off! The garden is finally taking off so I am able now to enjoy my fresh lettuce and hopefully real soon the zucchini will start to come on. We have blossoms. I know, potatoes are the best, but so love watching them get bigger out there. They are pushing my poor rhubarb out of the way and I need the rhubarb for fat burning. Plus my daughter loves it and good anitoxident in case you did not know. So off to work and get things done. I put in my Taebo cardio workout dvd for tonight. Hopefully I can do at least 10 minutes of it without excruciating pain in my foot. Yep, hurt the big toe again, so may have to get it taken care. Oh darn. You ladies are wonderful and so enjoyed reading the posts from last month. Love the chatter here.

Cindy, back from running errands - 3 months skinny quarters went into the post office. I used a bubble envelope this time and it cost $2.60 to mail. With my $1.00 inside, I figure $1.20 per month to play isn't bad!!

I'm in again. June wasn't my best month but I love that I can start again. I went to urgent care yesterday. I was sure I had bronchitis. Nope, just a good old fashioned cold. I need some good sunshine, just too much rain for me.

I was so bad today. The LQS is having a moving sale. I think I might have melted my credit card. I bought several fabrics just because they were pretty. I also bought some fabric to make a Judy Neimeyer mariners compass. Not sure when I will be able to start it. I also went to Lowes and bought paint to paint the bathroom. It is a small powder room and I have most of my flamingos in there, I am going to paint it with stripes. I bought purple, orange, yellow, pink and teal. Hopefully I will like it. I will have to take the toilet and sink out to paint it.
Eating was ok today. I stayed within my weight watcher points. Not the best of choices for my food, but calorie wise I did ok. Gotta win those batiks. Back to my regular schedule tomorrow, spinning class in the morning. My house guests are all gone. NIeces and nephews all left town. My mom is going out of town for the rest of the week with my brother to his lake house. Time for me to relax and sew and maybe paint.

Will go out in garage and get my fabric now. I am excited this month. I am positive I can loose minimum of five pounds but going to shoot for 10. I know that is a big goal, but water weight does come off pretty easy and following a healthy doctor directed eating schedule will get me there.

Terrific Tuesday - back to some basics. Today, we're using the Fool the Brain Game. Go for the smaller plate for your main meals and the regular portion you put on it will look bigger to your brain - and who knows, maybe tell you that's too much and there'll be left overs (?)
Eat healthy. Stay hydrated.

Game on, is right! I love Batiks. 4th of July will be my last eating for the month..gotta win.
The Doc is now suggesting back surgery - ugh. Go for a nerve conduction study next week as I have already developed foot drop. Also had a thyroid ultrasound yesterday for multiple nodules, fingers crossed. Whoever said growing old is for the birds was correct! At least my CAT scan in May showed my cancer has NOT returned. WooHoo.

GAME ON GALS........Hopefully I will win the Batiks!!!!!

Prayers going your way. I have had the nerve conduction study done and it is no fun.

Good luck on your loss for the month.

I think everyone is fighting for the BATIK pot. As soon as they come in I will post a picture of the pot to be won.

I love this challenge for the Batiks! Maybe we needed something to up the ante to fire us up. I just made a king size quilt for our bed using 98% batiks and drapes using a brown batik so I do have a nice selection left over. I'll go upstairs and pick a pretty piece out to share.

Pat, good for you for retail therapy! Care to share pictures so we can go green with envy?

So I head out to the garage where my stash is, search thru the batiks, and would you believe the most fabric I have is in purple batiks! What is the deal here. Then I was searching and searching wondering where are all my fat quarters, so I started looking thru fabric to see what I could cut into a fat quarter, whala, there they were in a bin on a shelf nicely tucked away just yelling at me they wanted to be picked and out of that awful tub. So I collected three and will mail out today.
