Thanks, Dody. I did not get fast food today (yeah!) and I ate more fruit and drank more fluids today. I did splurge on a soda, but didn't beat myself up about it. It was so hot and humid today and I rarely drink a soda, I've just never been a big soda person. So when I really want an ice cold one I drink it and don't feel guilty about it. I'm traveling starting tomorrow, so that will be a challenge but I'm going to try and make good choices.

Well wishes and prayers for all that have posted regarding illness and injury.

I was playing on Pintrest yesterday. I saw the instructions for the vinegar wash for fruit. It said to wash your fruit in one part vinegar to 10 parts water. THis will kill the mold spores on your fruit and make it last longer. It said not to rinse it.
I have made it to either a spinning class or my water aerobics class every day this week. Sunday I even did the elliptical. Hopefully the scale will be kind to me on Saturday. I have also been eating pretty good too. I made a cauliflower and broccoli salad that I love and have been eating it for lunch.
My dad is staying about the same so I am running back and forth to my parents house a lot. We have convinced my mom to go out like she always done. She goes to the swim club every afternoon and hangs out with her friends, etc. We have worked out a schedule with my brothers and sisters so that someone stops in every morning, late afternoon and evening. Also the grandkids stop in too as they have time.
I haven't been getting much quilting done. I had plans to get so much done this summer.
Pat

Pat, thx for that info, I plan on washing grapes today. It's so hard washing those by just rinsing well...this should work out well. Sending healing/peaceful thoughts & prayers for you & your dad.

CindyA, a soda once in a while is not too much; I think it's the fact that soda can be so addictive that we need to watch out for it. I know a few people who drink a 6 pack a day if not a 12 pack! Safe travels!!!

Sounds like a good idea with the fruit wash. I wonder if it is too late for what is in my fridge.
Pat, so sorry for all you are going through with your dad.
I hope none of you catch this summer cold going around. I am miserable with a hacking cough and runny nose on top of my allergy symptoms. Ugh. Hopefully I didn't spread it to anyone at the retreat. I thought it was just allergies at first.
My Allie quilt is almost done. I spent the whole 3 days at the retreat quilting it. Just the borders left to do but I want to look for a variegated thread. Maybe I'll make a trip to town if I can get up the energy.

DD was married on Saturday between the rain storms. Thankfully had two tents to house everything. I even managed to eat well, no weight loss but no gain either. DD wrote on the backs of the table runners I made and gave them as gifts to some of her guests. I didn't get one but I have fabric left to make myself a memory quilt. Can't wait for pictures to come back. We really had a great day.

Cindy, I received the FQs today, thank you for sending them along. Stars seem to be the theme & I am picturing a table runner for them. Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to send them to Cindy.

I washed my grapes today but used white vinegar, wonder if that matters??? I am letting them dry completely before I put them away.

Countrymaid, congrats to the new couple! May they have a long and happy life together. Are you relaxing now? You deserve it! I hope the pictures turn out stunning for you.

Thanks for letting me know they arrived safely.

I don't think it matters which vinegar you use.

Days of hot and humidity are here in my neck of the woods. I want to remind everyone to make sure you drink your water, stay hydrated. That will help with your weight loss as well.

Make wise choices on what you put in your body.
